Relaxing Yoga For Beginners- Short Video Practice

In this relaxing yoga for beginners video I’m going to take you through all of the basics to make sure that you’re breathing right and gaining the stress management benefits from yoga.

It’s a short 20 minute practice and you can do it in your pj’s and on your bed. No need to get your yoga mat out!

You will ideally just put the video on and listen to the instructions without watching it so that you can keep your focus inward and listen to your breath and your body.

Yoga For Better Sleep- A Short Home Practice

In this short 20 minute practice video I’ll take you through a very basic sequence to help reduce stress hormones in your body and improve your sense of calm and relaxation.

It’s best done in the afternoon when you get home from work so that you can start unwinding. This process of de-stressing from the day and preparing for a good nights sleep can take up to 3 hours.

So give it a try and see how you go.

Now yoga is for everyone despite sex, age, physical ability but there are several reasons why I think men really do need yoga.

The Journey To Becoming A Yoga Teacher...The Stuff No One Tells You!

I don’t think anyone just wakes up one day and thinks to themselves ‘I want to be a yoga teacher!’  I mean I’m sure someone has, but it’s generally not how it goes.

I know for me I was practicing yoga for a while and I felt the shift and changes in my body and mind and then thought to myself I want to do a teacher training so that I can learn more and go deeper for my own personal journey and knowledge.

For me teaching was something that arose very organically, I never looked for work teaching nor did I really even put my hand up for classes. They just came from friends and colleagues I taught a lot of classes for FREE, yep that’s right I taught for nothing because I just loved yoga so much that I wanted to share it with others in my spare time.

Then people who attended classes with me requested I go to their work place and teach and before I knew it I was teaching 12 classes a week, which was a really beautiful experience for me and also an extremely challenging one.

This is where understanding yoga as a complete system is most valuable for us who are taking it up as a practice; understanding that we are made up of more than just our bodies, and that so much of what we experience at a body level is influenced by what's happening in our mind and soul, then we can start to appreciate how useful and powerful yoga is as a tool for a healthy happier way of living.
