We all want a slightly more clear and focused mind...right? I know personally that yoga has provided me with so much more than a strong and flexible body and the thing I've valued most from my years of practice is what it's done for my mind.
The breath is the key to the mind...
Every yoga class has a strong breath focus and if we look at the teachings in all yogic texts the breath features significantly.
The Hatha Yoga Pradipika states that if the mind is agitated so too will the breath be agitated and vice versa.
So why is this the case and how should we be working with the breath?
In this recording I take some time to look at the breath and practicalities around teaching and practicing with a breath focus. Close look is taken at sutra 1.13 of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.
